In an unexpected turn of events, it appears that writing a song for someone may be a successful approach to get in touch with them.
According to Page Six, Dua Lipa is dating rapper Jack Harlow, whose most recent album includes the suitably named song “Dua Lipa,” a tribute to the British-Albanian star.
Before the album’s May release, according to Harlow, he FaceTimed Lipa to ask for her approval. She responded in a somewhat awkward manner, but she nonetheless nodded to him.
However, it appears that she fell in love with the charming rapper after seeing him in person at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles in November. Since then, they have reportedly been in “continuous communication.”
He was “extremely interested in her, and was going to vigorously pursue [the romance],” a source claimed in the meantime.
According to insiders, he even travelled to New York City to meet her after her Friday engagement at the Z100 Jingle Ball.
The two were reportedly seen the next day arriving separately to a restaurant in the Meatpacking District for lunch, according to Page Six sources.
According to reports, they made an effort to blend in but instead entered through a private door and left the restaurant separately after being noticed.
As he has always been a fan of her, the source close to Harlow claims that “he is going to try his best.”
In other words, “Dua Lipa, I’m trying to do more with her than perform a feature,” as he says in the song.
Trevor Noah and Lipa were recently linked since they were seen cuddling after dining at Miss Lily’s in New York in late September.
However, a source informs us that the meal was casual and was held following his recording for her podcast “At Your Service.”
