Jennifer Coolidge Calls Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’ the ‘Instigator’ for Her Latest Career Triumphs

In a one-on-one interview with Ariana Grande, Jennifer Coolidge praised the pop artist with helping to spark the career revival she has been experiencing for the past few years.

She told the pop star, “I don’t think I would be here where I am if you hadn’t included me in ‘Thank U, Next’.”

“Would you be aware that when people inquire about how my life has altered,… In her Entertainment Weekly Entertainers of the Year cover story, which was released on Monday, the actress gushed to Grande, “Yes, I got to do White Lotus, but I think it truly started with you asking me to be in the ‘Thank U, Next’ video (Dec. 12).

She added, “I mean, from there I got Promising Young Woman and this whole thing. “In a way, you were the catalyst. I genuinely think that. I don’t think I would be in this position if you hadn’t included me in “Thank U, Next” and performed that imitation.

The “Positions” singer quickly dismissed the praise, calling it “absolutely the most incorrect thing I’ve ever heard in my life,” but Coolidge persisted. “No, I genuinely believe that!
